Mrs Howard’s Story

Mrs Howard enjoys the companionship, security and activities available at the supported housing scheme and she has made many friends whilst living there.

Mrs Howard (Biddy), who is 95, has been a resident of a sheltered housing scheme for those over 60 since December 2000. Biddy really enjoys the social aspect of the scheme and is involved in many of the social activities. She is currently knitting teddy bears for sale at a charity event later in the year, as well as knitting clothes for premature babies at Kings. She stated that she likes to keep busy. She also made a huge number of homemade sausage rolls for the Starts at Home event which went down very well with the other tenants at the event.
